Life-Coaching
Life-Coaching is another important component of The Academy Way model. We are focused on creating school enviroments where students feel socially, emotionally and physically safe. We are so focused on providing this safety net to our students that we begin every school day with Life-Coaching. For 20-30 minutes each morning, various topics (see below) are discussed. During this time, we divide our entire student body into small groups to talk about LIFE. Nothing interrupts this time. That’s how significant we deem this time for the health and well-being of our school and children.

- Self-Awareness and Self-Improvement

Goal of Life-Coaching
It is our goal for each student to create a meaningful relationship with an adult during Life-Coaching. With this, our Life-Coaches guide and support them through school and life struggles when they arise. Special bonds are created between students as well during our Life-Coaching environment.

Gender-Based
As students get older, we create gender specific and smaller-sized groups. When possible, an adult of the same gender as the students is assigned to each Life-Coaching group. We believe as students get older, there is more specific life information that needs to be shared and discussed with each other in these groups. Information students share during Life-Coaching that may jeopardize their emotional or physical safety is immediately shared with parents.
